What started in a small workshop in Flemington has grown into a trusted name across Victoria — but our philosophy hasn’t changed. We still make every bed ourselves, using time-honoured techniques, premium materials, and a personal touch that’s rare in today’s world.
John Beck learned the art of mattress making at Myer after World War II. In 1948, he followed his vision and founded Beck’s Bedding. The original factory opened in Flemington before relocating to Preston in 1951, where our legacy continued to grow.
John’s son, Alan Beck, joined the business and brought over 50 years of experience to the craft. His deep knowledge and passion for the industry helped shape the Beck’s Bedding standards we still uphold today.
David Beck joined the family business in 1986 while completing his Bachelor of Business at RMIT. With a love for tradition and an eye for innovation, David continues to lead Beck’s Bedding into the future — still family-owned, still handcrafted, still made to last.
